Iran, Pakistan stress closer co-op against terrorism

TEHRAN – Qadir Nezami, the deputy chief the Iranian Armed Forces, and Pakistan’s Secretary of Defense Ikramul Haq held a meeting in Tehran on Sunday, during which they voiced mutual resolve to develop defense cooperation in combating terrorism.
During the meeting, General Nezami and Lieutenant General Ikramul Haq discussed various aspects of military, defense, and security cooperation and exchanged views on ways to develop ties based on mutual interests, Mehr reported.
They also discussed security at common borders, joint approaches against terrorism and organized crime and adoption of strategies to further develop defense and military cooperation.
